Fourth of July was alright. I did not enjoy being with my ‘extended’ family that much. It just gets awkward all the time. I did of course purchase 6 packs of sparklers, 6 packs of snappers, 2 packs of roman candles, and a pack of crackling balls. We would’ve gotten the bigger stuff, but living in a neighborhood FILLED with trees makes it rather dangerous. We did get to see fireworks set off in the distance, which was pretty cool.
Well, last friday my mother thought it would be awesome to go out to lunch at Steak N’ Shake & if you know anything about the Steak N’ Shake around here, it’s right by the highway out of Erie. Well, I guess since it was around July 4th everyone was ready to travel out of here because the roads were packed!
What you can’t quite see is that the traffic going across is stopped (even though they had a green light) right in the middle of the intersection. No one could move. This is what we call a ‘Peach Jam’ in Erie.
So, another a note, lately I have been having some joint pains which sucks because I usually have some joint pain, but I don’t bring it up since I’m used to it so if I bring it up it means it hurts. I have been dealing with some pain killers and rest, but then the shitty heartburn comes. You know, the kind that keeps you up at night. Sucks, then I learn I have shitty heartburn because the back is out of whack from the joint pain. So now it’s a viscous cycle. Everything is taking a turn for the best now (knock on wood). Just in time for Warped too, because I definitely didn’t want to be in pain while jumping around in crowds.
Well, to go with that, I let my dog sleep in my bed with me since I stole his blanket for the night and this is how I wake up:
He stole up half the bed while he was sleeping. The little jerk… I’m pretty sure I woke him up soon after this picture and kicked him off the bed. That’s the last time I let him sleep there.
So what should I say? Tomorrow, it will be 20 days until my birthday! I’m excited, I’ll be 17 finally which means I can apply for that book store job & I get my lip piercing! Just wait until I’m 18, the I’ll be getting that damn tattoo I’ve wanted for years!
Well, anyways, quick reccommendation: I lied & I’m back to reading Vonnegut again. He just sucks me in, like way in. So I reccommend you guys check out some Vonnegut for sure. Anything by him; I’m pretty sure you can get 2 B r 0 2 B by him online. It’s a really good short story by him!
